How to disable a hyperlink?

Answer by Alex Urbach

I wouldn't recommend using F-Secure SSH Client, it's deprecated. The developers don't offer any information about it anymore, therefore it shouldn't be used. I've tried to download it, but it appears there is no place to obtain it from, making it impossible to say exactly what function needs to be disabled to avoid using hyperlinks.

Instead of the F-Secure SSH Client, download and use Putty. Putty doesn't have hyperlinks activated and you can connect easily and securely to the servers.

I am facing problems while trying to do a password less SSH to Unix box from Windows. Public key was generated using F-secure. When the F-secure client attempts, it connects without password but when I try to use sftp2 in command line it prompts for password.
I have tried several options and failed. Not much help in Google too.

Any response to possibilities will be much appreciated.

Below is the sftp2 -v output:

It seems that you are lacking SSH installation in Windows. Try to install OpenSSH for Windows first. Additionally, I believe that you will not be able to create a connection without a password because the password is actually the key to establish a successful connection even if you have a PGP key. Assign passwords then you will be able to connect.

I am using the F-Secure SSH Client 5.4 Build 34 on Window XP. I will get a new laptop soon and will need to reinstall SSH Client on it. I want to reuse the connection profiles that I created on the old laptop. Can anybody provide instruction for moving profiles between laptops at your earliest convenience so that I don't have to recreate all the profiles on the new laptop again for remote db server connections? Many of my coworkers spent significant amount of time to recreate connection profiles on their new laptops. I wish I can bypass this task. Thank you for the help.

Install the application on the new laptop then copy all the *.ssh files found in the installation directory into the new installation directory. Restart the client, and you should see all your profiles.
